1st: (4) CAPTAIN MAD JACK – Missed by a length in his well-bet career debut behind a next-out winner then raced evenly next out against open company maidens. Both times, he broke from post one and now draws much better with Pablo Morales – 33% with Connelly.
2nd: (1) RANDOM THOUGHTS –Was an even third in his well-bet career debut then missed by a head last out when stretched out to two turns. He comes back against state-breds and adds blinkers while dropping down to state-bred maidens for Ron Potts – 23% plus blinkers.
3rd: (9) AMAZON LIZZIE – Was soundly beaten two starts back against these then came back and missed by a head with Gallardo.
1st: (3) SILLY FACTOR – Was a sharp winner two starts back as the odds-on favorite against $20K claimers in an off-the-turf event on the synthetic track at Arlington Park. She came back against the same group in her first start off the claim and missed by a length.
2nd: (4) D J SOUL SISTA – Horse for the course goes for win number ten here after winning three straight against three different claiming levels. She held on for third last out against starter allowance foes and now takes on $12,500 claimers which she beat three starts back.
3rd: (2) I ZOOM – Horse for the course went gate to wire two starts back then raced evenly last out when chasing the pace.
1st: (4) MAGSAMELIA – Ran well while turf sprinting in New York for Linda Rice then shipped here for her Tapeta debut off a seven-week layoff and she raced evenly against $12,500 claimers. Rice wins 30% first start after being beaten as the favorite & 29% with her claimers.
2nd: (2) MISO BAD – Beat conditioned $5K claimers then came back and beat open $5k ones. She moves up a notch in class for Ron Puhl who wins 19% first start after a win and 12% with his claimers. Eddie Dominguez is 3 for 5 riding for Puhl the past two weeks.
3rd: (3) HONEST DESIRE – Winless in seven starts here and many came against this level but she only missed by a length last out here.
1st: (3) SARA THE GREAT – Was a good second two starts back against better starter allowance foes then came back and beat $7,500 claimers. She drops down in class for Ed Rojas who wins 9% first start off the claim and he is able to get leading rider Pablo Morales.
2nd: (6) HENIN – Won here going two turns three starts back then was badly outrun when moved up in class. She rallied for fourth last out going two turns and meets the same group while turning back to a long sprint for Larry Hayes who wins 18% going long to short.
3rd: (7) SPRINKLESMIDDLE EZ – Was a good winner going five furlongs then showed good speed the next two starts against these.
1st: (8) HYGH LIFE – Horse for the course was a game second against better company then came back and tired going 6 ½ furlongs in very fast time. She drops all the way down to $5K for Teresa Connelly who wins 20% with her synthetic track starters & 33% with Morales.
2nd: (6) PONT DE L’ALMA – Horse for the course missed by a length against better then came back and beat them last out going this distance in good time. Dave Markgraf wins 20% first start after a win and 18% with his claimers. Mario Pino rides back – 21% sprinting.
3rd: (11) QUEEB – Has two wins here this year against better company and drops down to $5K for Dale Capuano – 28% on synthetics
1st: (5) TRULY BRILLIANT – Showed high speed two starts back going a two-turn mile then against $25K claimers then came back and went gate to wire when dropped down to this claiming level. John Bourke wins 18% first start after a win and 15% with his claimers.
2nd: (4) SILVER VIXEN – Put blinkers back on last out and tried to go gate to wire before tiring in the final yards. Daughter of SCAT DADDY drops down to $7,500 for Teresa Connelly who wins 24% with this dropdown and 20% first start out of her barn.
3rd: (1A) SKITZINTHEMIDNIGHT – Horse for the course was an even second two starts back behind the top choice then won last out.
1st: (8) HERE COMES AVA – Made a big middle move two starts back when stretched out to two turns then came back at six furlongs and was a good second in fast time. Glenn Wismer wins 16% with his maiden special weight starters and 11% with his sprinters.
2nd: (1) LIL MO GOLD – Was a game second two starts back here going this distance then weakened last out when she broke slow from post one. Daughter of UNCLE MO is a half-sister to three stakes winners including a multiple grade one stakes winner. Gallardo rides.
3rd: (4) MUD CAT – Added lasix but did nothing since it was her turf debut. She ran third the next two starts here at this distance.
1st: (7) DOTHRAKI WARRIOR – Just missed here two starts back going two turns against this conditioned claiming level then rallied wide for second last out. He has run well in all four starts here after being a turf horse for most of his career. Mike Allen rides back.
2nd: (1) POSSE ON BROADWAY – Did little in his first three career starts then woke up last out here going two turns when he broke his maiden the first time Antonio Gallardo rode him. He comes back against winners from post one 17 days later.
3rd: (8) THE BUCKEYE KID – Broke his maiden two starts back on the turf in Ohio then raced evenly there against better.
