1st: (4) SEEYA WHEN I SEEYA – Dropped down to this claiming level and won going away as the 5 to 2 favorite ahead of a runner that came back to beat better next time out. Horse for the course gets Mario Pino who wins 17% going long
2nd: (6) EDDIE SET GO –Horse for the course ran second to the top choice two starts back then beat better going 6 ½ furlongs in very fast time. Very consistent 10YO has won three times this year here in his last five starts and gets Alan Garcia – 11% with his route mounts.
3rd: (9) GUNG HO – Overcame post 12 going two turns two starts back here against similar claimers then missed by a neck last out.
1st: (10) SAMBUCCA STEVE – Speedball led to the final yards two starts back on the dirt at Thistledown then came here 2 months later almost held on after opening up a 5-length lead right from the start. Larry Reed wins 18% with his claimers and 11% with synthetic starters.
2nd: (3) ARROGANT – Went gate to wire two starts back then moved up in class and tired in the final yards. He has good early speed and gets a major rider upgrade to Antonio Gallardo – 17% with his sprint starters. Joe Martin wins 14% with his claimers and sprinting.
3rd: (2) VICTORY BRINGER – Horse for the course beat similar claimers going this distance three back then almost wired at two turns.
1st: (3) SANDIA CREST – Dropped down in class two starts back and won on the turf last October at Hawthorne. He made his 2017 debut on the synthetic track at Arlington Park and won going away and now moves up a notch for Justin Johns who wins 26% second off layoff.
2nd: (1) FEET’S AFIRE – Dropped down to $5K claimers two starts back and won going two turns as the odds-on favorite. He came back with an even effort in a long sprint and now stretches back out to two turns for Ed Rojas who wins 21% going short to long.
3rd: (5) TOTAL FUTBOL – Drops down to his lowest claiming level ever and should be able to stalk the pace with Huber Villa-Gomez.
1st: (5) MASTEROFTHEHOUSE – Won two of three against better then was up the track against high-price optional claimers. He tired some last out and now drops down to his lowest claiming price for John Bourke who wins 15% going long to short. Gallardo rides.
2nd: (7) SAVE THE DRAMA – Was an even fourth two starts back going six furlongs in fast time as the 2 to 1 favorite then he dropped way down last out and missed by a neck at 7 to 5. Tim Girten wins 27% first start after being beaten as the favorite and 25% with his claimers.
3rd: (1) WORBOTHOR – Rallied some after a rough start against much better two starts back then was a game second last out.
1st: (4) INVISIBLE – Horse for the course rallied to get up by a neck when dropped down to this claiming level. He was an even third last out when moved up in class and he drops back down here for Teresa Connelly who wins 20% with her synthetic track starters.
2nd: (2) ONE BUCK ROMA – Was an even third two starts back behind a next-out winner against this claiming level then just missed going gate to wire when dropped down in class. Ed Clouston wins 20% with his claimers and 21% first start after being beaten as the favorite.
3rd: (1) C THE JUDGE – Showed good speed two starts back against cheaper then rallied from off the pace to get up in time.
1st: (4) WALL STREET – Seems to have found a home against this $5K claiming level and even though he doesn’t win enough for me, he draws well for a stalking trip with Gil Delgado. Bert Crawford wins 13% with his claimers and 12% with his synthetic track starters.
2nd: (1) COUNTY ANTRIM – Stretched out to two turns and battle for the lead before weakening. He came back from post one and chased the pace before weakening and draws it again for Nick Caruso who wins 20% going long and 17% with his claimers.
3rd: (6) SKIFFS BREWMEISTER – Makes his Tapeta debut off some decent efforts on the dirt at Delaware Park against this level.
1st: (6) ANTEBELLUM – Just missed in her first two starts on Tapeta then raced evenly last out when moved up to $40K claimers. She drops back down to a more realistic class level here and picks up Antonio Gallardo. Daughter of BIRDSTONE needs an aggressive ride.
2nd: (4) ROAN FEATHERS – Showed up here two starts back with a good third going this distance against this class level. She rallied from off the pace last out against allowance foes back on the dirt at Thistledown and returns for Ron Puhl who wins 16% going long to short.
3rd: (1) THE PIE LADY – Was a game second against this level going 5 ½ furlongs and returns from post one with blinkers removed.
1st: (5) MR. CAT – Did little in his first three career starts then he broke his maiden in a turf sprint at Saratoga. He shipped here last out and weakened late after disputing the pace every step of the way. Linda Rice wins 29% with her claimers and 23% with her sprinters.
2nd: (2) JUDGE ROY BEAN – Broke his maiden when blinkers were added then he just missed. After racing evenly next out, he rallied five wide to miss by a length going this distance against better company. Lance Stokes wins 15% with his claimers and 14% with his sprinters.
3rd: (3) RAPA ITI – Only 1 for 17 lifetime but he usually runs well enough get in the money and he just fell short last out for Wayne Rice.
