Casino Raises $30,000 for Charity Golf Tournament

Erie, PA — Officials at Presque Isle Downs & Casino announced today that $30,000 was raised during the First Annual Charity Golf Tournament.

The golf tournament was established as a way to give back to the community. All monies donated are invested and the interest is then used to fund these local grants.

The Erie Community Foundation is one of the largest in the country and serves the Erie County Area through grants to various non-profits.

The event took place at Culbertson Hills Golf Course in Edinboro, PA.

“We receive many financial requests from non-profit organizations throughout the year and we wanted to find a way to provide more monies for our community. By establishing a fund with The Erie Community Foundation we will be able to provide greater assistance to help these charities reach their financial goals. Our first year exceeded all expectations,” stated Mike Tamburelli, Vice President and General Manager of Presque Isle Downs & Casino.
